How often have you taken something to the tip, like a cupboard, television, sofa or even old bike, that you think is too good to throw away really.  You're left not only with the guilt of throwing something away that is useful but you have also contributed to waste on a landfill, an increasing environmental problem.

We all have things that are taking up space that we would normally throw away, things that may be quite useful to to someone.  Instead of taking them to the local dump, how about giving it away, recycling it, become a recycler.  Make some space in that spare room, or garage, give someone else that old cupboard you're replacing. Recycling reduces waste, which can only be a good thing.

If someone can make use of an old item why not let them.  It cuts down waste, saves money, and makes use of something that is perfectly good.  By advertising on it on this site it gives someone a chance to take it off your hands, saving you the hassle of trying to get rid of it.
