CODE OF CONDUCT
 
  • By registering an interest in Let`s grow land-share you are selecting to abide by the code.
  1. Membership is based on £1 per year per person. Groups £1 per member 0r £15 per annum whichever is better for the group.
  2. Membership is free for the first year.
  3. Membership is based on voluntary involvment.
  4. It is up to the Volunteer to Decide how many hrs commitment he/she can make per month.
  5. Members should be reliable please remember this before you commit.
  6. The main purpose in the code is to allow fair play.  
  7. Each member has an equal share in lets grow.
  8. Each Member has a single vote, and the right to be heard.
  9. Each Member must conduct his/her-self in an apporopriate, honest and reliable & reasonable manner.
  10. No form of abuse will be tolerated.
  11. No vandalism or acts of aggression to any person or property willl be tolerated.
  12. Failure to apply to these rules will lead to a rebuke and could ultimatly lead to rejection from the group.
 
 

  • 1/. let`s grow land-shareÓ is a privately owned Not for profit companythat fits Under the social enterprise definition.
  • 2/. let`s grow land-shareÓ is copyrighted in 2009
  • 3/. The main purpose of let`s grow land-shareÓ is to bring communities closer together by iuntroducing land owners/doners with interested gardeners/growers as well as other organisations or groups of indeviduals who are activly seeking space they need to enable them to grow their own veg, herbs, fruit. or to raise livestock etc.
  • 4/. Participants enter into an agreement  at their own risk.
  • 5/. Under no circumstances can let`s grow land-shareÓ be held responsible for any loss or damage.as a result of entering into such an agreement. 
  • 6/. You are advised to talk to get legal advice before entering into any agreement. 
  • 7/. You are strongly advised to have a formal agreement (Which could be invaluable should any problem either seen or unseen arise in the future).
  • 8/. any agreement drawn up should include the following points of interest:-

Who pays for what?

Payment or recompense

Defining the site and its condition

Site access

Water supplies

Refuse collection

Livestock – veterinary services

Times

Who is allowed to use the land

Length of agreement

What happens if the land is not maintained  properly?

What can the land be used for?
