Yet most if not all of the un-recyclable plastics produced in this country is created by the supermarkets
who tell us this is what the customers want, that we are asking for it.
Packaging is also a way for supermarkets to minimise their waste disposal costs. For example, today, supermarkets are packaging
foods "shelf-ready". This means the product can be put straight from the container onto the shelf. In this sense, the supermarkets
are passing the cost of their waste-disposal bills onto the consumer.
Enough is enough.
Why are we increasingly being told that we have to continually recycle more & more. Therefore it leads on that
we must pay more & more.
The answer ultimatly lies with The Supermarkets who are trying to wash their hands of this mess, A mess Which they
themselves have created by over packaging the food that they produce.
